The Update, Sunfest and Maryhill
Sunfest? I relearned a lesson in trying to push the Universe, and dispelled rage tantrically while doing kata for the first time. The Universe wanted me to intensely prepare, and I did, although for other things that I thought. I completed what had to be done before I leave, and then I had the honor of being in Ritual, Open on All Eight Ways, without any armour. I was doubly-anointed seven times, on each Chakra, and quided the Kundalini, and charged with amazing energy, some of which I grounded with my Beloved. It was somewhat saddening, as I will not see many of those faces for more than a year.
As all things are circles, I returned two days later to Washington for Maryhill, riding for Stonehenge for the Summer Solstice ritual. That ride was easy and effortless, and in honor and memory of Prez Orca. After Linda's, and Badger's mead, and chocolate, Carcosa led the Procession and ritual half an hour before dawn, with assistance of Nick, who well-performed the Banishing. I was honored to wear the white robe that belongs to Kittin. There were 34 Seen, and 3 Unseen. Then, greasy breakfast back at Linda's, which always tastes better after ritual. There was no grounding with the Beloved, as she was unable to attend.
Then another saddening realization, as these are more faces and colors and bikes I won't see for more than a year. I rode down West 14 by myself, losing myself in tight corners and sweepers, going to White Salmon to pay Jubbalah only half. While I was there, where she used to live, I thought of Raven, a temporarily lost roadsister and former lover, and sent a blessing to her and her safety. Unfortunately, while parked on an incline, my foot slipped on the gravel and I almost dropped my bike, but I saved it---at the expense of my healing leg. I didn't do any damage to my knee or the bike, but I strained the back of my thigh pretty well lifting her back to level.
On my ride, I did a lot of thinking about my Life and my Beloved and what I want and need while I rolled for home. I stopped by to see the former Seneschal and take a power nap and coffee, and checked in with her and the BF, then made it to the Fortress of Solitude, getting home about 8pm, and went to bed. Upon returning, I noticed I had been hosting a tick, probably since Sunfest; although there is a lesion, there is no tick---perhaps the ride or the energy removed it. I'm on Doxycycline BID just in case for 10 days. I'm just destined to not be done with healing yet. *smile*
Now? Time to relax. Planning my party next weekend. Dissertation. Sienna's birthday party. Charts. Possible Jury Duty on Monday. Maybe some time with my Beloved, or the BF. Life is good.
