There are those on this list who know that I have worked hard the last couple of days, neglecting other tasks and people, in order to be able to present a class/demonstration on sword arts, that ultimately was (rightly) cancelled. I completely support that decision. I have lost nothing. In fact, I have a presentation, and did quite a bit of learning in doing so. I will be catching up with those people I have neglected as soon as possible.

Oss!

“Many men feel that they should act according to the time or the moment they are facing, and thus are in confusion when something goes beyond this and some difficulty arises. The man whose profession is arms should calm his mind and look into the depths of others. Doing so is likely the best of the martial arts”. Shiba Yoshimasa

"The mental attitude of Heiho is not different than that of the everyday attitude. In both peaceful times and in times of battle, it is the same. Be careful to ascertain the truth from a broad viewpoint. Do not become tense and do not let yourself go. Keep your mind on the center and do not waver. Calm your mind, and do not cease the firmness for even a second. Always maintain a fluid and flexible, free and open mind". Miyamoto Musashi
