Because J5nn5r responded to me.

If you respond to this, I will:

1. Tell you why I befriended you.
2. Associate you with something - fandom, a song, a colour, a photo, etc.
3. Tell you something I like about you.
4. Tell you a memory I have of you.
5. Ask something I've always wanted to know about you.
6. Tell you my favourite user pic of yours.
7. In return, you must post this in your LJ.

Peace, Grim

I met Sir by ummm trolling Him online! I had been hearing about TAAG in Asheville, but I had never had the courage to go. One day, NCMaster came into my MSN chat room. I knew there was a NCMaster presenting on needles at TAAG, so I whispered and asked Him if He was the one presenting. It was Him. I went to TAAG. Met Him and several others. We sat next to each at dinner at the Denny's in West Asheville. That was the beginning!

I'm feeling brave. OK.

Your words really blessed me, Grim. Thank you.

Regarding my interest in learning, I pray for wisdom, and I think that being observant is a big piece of that picture. I can't help but be interested in learning. I believe that Spiritual Growth (and probably other kinds of growth as well) are the point of our spending time here in Schoolhouse Earth, but also the joy and the reward of the trip as well. I don't know if I will ever be able to say I'm bored. All I do is stop, look, listen, and notice that the Universe is a sparkling, multi faceted, evolving, glorious and wondrous Thing that delights me.

Most memorable life lesson, I have had many that have helped me become the person you now know. It is hard to distinguish which one was most memorable but I can think of three major ones that have been significant. First the birth of my first child knowing that this tiny creature is totally dependent on me was life altering. The second was when Foxx and I spearated and then reunited and realized that I was responsible for what I needed from him and that if I wanted to move forward with him I needed to be able to communicate my needs to him clearly and openly. And then third the three weeks I spent in Boston away from my 3 children and Foxx and got to find me again and enjoy being with just me and just taking care of what I needed.

you Don't say! interesting, these are what thoughts I am connected to for you.
Well, going back to school - my health issues continue to take priority. Since the auto accident in Jan. my arthritis pain is increased expanded to other areas. My heart's desire now is to do volunteer work for William B.Umstead Park. Being the volunteer coordinator for the annual Walk/Run/Bike for Umstead will be a challenging and learning experience. I won't be giving this position up any time soon since the contract runs till death or I am living in a cave totally unlocatable. or so I have been told by those currently holding positions. (that is the joke but there is truth to it too -wink) Possible becoming a member of the Umstead Coalition's Board of Directors. Plenty of challenge and learning opportunity, as well as providing me with work that gives back to the earth and community. This makes me happy. I will be learning much about soil erosion, how my land, space is needed for roads, parking, bike-ways. Various plants identification. From what I have seen there is lots to learn connected with this work to learn and put in use.
Ok, now I need to post this on my LJ for others.

I haven't decided what other martial arts I want to study. I'm undecided behind kendo and shotokan. Very different styles.......... I'm trying to decide if I want to understand swordwork, even though I have little talent for weapons, or if I want to study a "harder" style than Aikido.

I'm not there yet though.

Music.

I wake up and turn on music. I walk to work and back home listening to my MP3 player. I work with my MP3 player on, answering phone calls and attending meetings with just one headphone on. I turn the music on as soon as I get in the door at home. I have a million mixed CD's in my car.

I listen to the poetry ringing through my ears, penetrating my thoughts, my work, my walks, my dreams and with each word I learn. I learn about myself, I learn about others and I remember that at no time am I ever going through anything alone. Someone has the words, someone has the thoughts, someone has sung the song of my life as I have lived it.
