A not-so-good Update

I have just come to the final conclusion that, for the first time in 38 years, I will not be able to be home to visit my parents for Christmas.

Besides my overwhelming client crises, and the fact that I am physically ill and worn down to the point I fall asleep if I sit down, I do not have call coverage, and I also cannot in good conscience cancel the clients who are desparately in need that have been scheduled and promised that they would be seen on the 23rd and the 24th, by my short-staffed and unknowing reception staff.

The Seneschal, scheduled to go with me to drive the 16 hours to get home, also cannot go, as she has babies on respirators counting on her.

Also, I seem to have a major water leak leading from my house.

I will cope. All will be handled. A professional, according to Allistair McClean, is "someone who does the very best job they can especialy when then don't feel like it."

Here, you can have the rest of my energy for the next couple of days. I'll be recuperating, so I won't need it.

Hey Big Guy. I know its not want you wanted, but you are doing the right thing, IMHO. I know how hard it is not to be with family at this time in the year. Chin up Scout!

I have lots of energy also, I shall send some positive vibes your direction.

All the best to you and yours on this holiday season.

Holiday Wierdness

Looks like it's going around. Frosty-one and I had to cancel going to my parents for the holiday as well. The pup came down with an icky eye thing I can't spell so we can't very well take her to the land of wild grandsons accompanied by an even more insane pair of dogs; a bulldog and a small yippy dog that should be speaking spanish. So we'll be homebound as well.

Hang in there

Your priorities are noble, and although your family will miss you, you're just where you need to be this weekend. Don't neglect self-care. You need a massage. Maybe you should schedule some time with your Best Friend, the (upcoming) Massage Therapist. =) See you on Sunday! =)
