Update: Timelines

What's on my mind? The dissertation process. I handed in my Lit Review today, for revisions. This weekend the Discussion section MUST be done.

My 'Buy My Stuff' Party wasn't well-attended, but some stuff went away, and more is going. The Fortress of Solitude is not-so slowly evolving to something else, and most of the furniture is now gone. My remaining stuff is organized into piles, and being sorted into Keep/Store, Keep/Future Clinical Practice, Keep/Take, and Dump.

I learned a lesson in not shielding. Again. People are noticing when I don't shield.

I had a completely good two days with my Beloved. She noticed, too.

My leg is almost not bruised or swollen anymore, and I have good range of motion although it's still a bit weak. I may be ready for working it a bit.




I defend my dissertation the 17th. My bed departs July 23. My renter, Eurotopia, moves in July 31st Phaedrus goes to his new home on the 31st. I'm leaving August 1.

Um - my bad? Actually, the 'bad vibe' of mine ended up culminating in a truck and trailer running me off the freeway between Turner and Eugene.

Apparently this is less the eBay season for comics than expected, but if all else fails, I know people who know people who would be able to give wholesale price.

Missing you already as your heart starts heading out the door before you body, trying to shield itself from the goodbyes no one wants to give. I saw your shield down, but I don't remember you having it up to often with me dear Warrior. Although I am sure it was there, being of such similar energy, well, maybe I saw under your kilt...heheheh.

Loving you, missing you, waiting for your return and even before you go hoping you have the greatest adventure yet!!!

I am loving and missing you alraedy as well. Shields down is similar to putting one's sword down when it's not needed, a lesson I am still working on and practicing.

I'll have a significant and meaningful adventure, but I'll be back. No worries.

For some reason I in my meditations this week I kept seeing your face, and remembering so many long meaningful conversations over coffee... so many lessons learned with you, through you, from you... you have been a Friend, an obsession, a paramour, a sage council, a mentor, a teacher, a protector, a Mirror. I hadn't responded before, because for some reason everytime I read this, and tried to say something I started to cry. You are so much a part of all of our lives, to say you will be missed is a great understatement, to say you are loved... makes language seem so limited.

I have decided that in honor of you, my beloved Kindred - that I am giving up coffee, and shall not drink another sip of it, until I can share a cup with you when you return home. A sacrifice to the Gods, to add power to my prayers for your safety, your well-being, and your continued growth, and then your safe journey home again. I'll expect a call when you get back to Oregon in a year, telling me to start up the pot, and I'll make sure I have "good" coffee waiting.
