Update/Root Chakra Stuff

(1) I now have a room, with access to 24-hr free long distance, high speed internet, all utilities, washer/dryer, a full kitchen, and a roommate/landlord who works with MRDD children on swing shift. He's a big, quiet black man named Darryll. I like him. Moved in yesterday.

(2) I now have wheels. I got a great deal on an red '83 Yamaha Virago 500. Runs great, and has only 10,115 miles on it. Her name is Growler. Got her bought, licensed and registered today. Yes, I bought a full face helmet last night. *smile*

(3) I am undergoing culture shock. All ya'll please stand by. I am breathing, unpacking, reading, taking care of business. I have checked in with the hospital and have attempted communication with my fellow interns for the year. I am 10 minutes by motorcycle from the hospital. I have food.

(4) My father was invaluable, from feeding me, getting me to places, orienting me, and being supportive. Thank you very much, for everything, Dad.

(5) Now? Find a dojo. Start running. Read. Get everything ready and unpacked. Celebrate. Check in with folks. Get my house swords. Get ready for the Burn.


Thanks are also in order to the BF, and the Beloved, for just...talking to me. I really needed that.

Nope. I named her Growler from the rusty pipes exceed the noise limit in scond gear. *grin*
