Biker Church
OK, all ya'll. Inagine this:
Dark motorcycle repair shop. Folding chairs. Southern Baptist. 30 people all in Harley T-shirts, jeans and boots, or other biker dress code for the wives and children. 10-minute prayer list. Reading and listening to the last chapter of Hosiah discussed aptly and including the sociocultural, military, political, and psychological implications. No singing. After telling the Pastor, "Preacher Charley" I was a Reverend, having coffee and discussing the gospel at a greasy-spoon diner next door. Best part: getting a black Tshirt from Preacher Charley with big white letters on the front saying, "Satan Sucks"---and on the back, with a big red cross, "Jesus Saves." I'll wear that shirt to Church next week. :>
In addition to the networking and finding out about the outlaw and other MCs in the area, I'm connecting to the biker community. Next, the martial arts community (first class on Monday) and the Hospital (meeting Dr. Schwartz also on Monday).
