I leave in about six weeks. There is much to do.
More keeps flowing away from the Fortress, and I have made the decision to rent rather than sell. Real estate broker and agent fees, potential capital gains tax, and storage fees can all be avoided, and I think the potential tenant will be a good fit, even though there are financial issues still to consider.
Sunday night at midnight, I handed in my 30-page Literature Review revisions that I spent the entire weekend working on. Monday, I cleaned up the other sections and wrote the Discussion section, the last section, and handed that in, too. My plan is to relentlessly keep my dissertation advisor busy revising, as the plan is to defend in two weeks, even if that means a 3-day dissertationathon.
My surgeon has cleared me for returning to some semblance of martial arts training---but no snapping or twisting movements, any extreme torsion, or sudden turning. This means very gentle kata and line drills, and possibly Tai Chi. I’ll be calling the Tai Chi School of Healing Arts next week.
Sunfest, and tantric practice, consume what time is left. This will be a very busy week for me. I will get to see Tam Wednesday night, at least for a few hours, and probably this weekend, if she can manage all of her other priorities. I now have very few expectations of spending time with just her, her schedule simply doesn’t allow that without considerably adding to her stress. Maybe that will change after her finals week is over. Maybe.
