Ever try to bungee down a loaf of bread on a motorcycle on a slick vinyl seat so it doesn't move, but without flattening it?

Today: Walked two miles, then bought bungees, bread, a tactical folding knife, and coffee (the essentials). Got a bit sunburned. Explored checking accounts, and all three of the local dojangs, all of whom teach Tang Soo Do, with non-flattened bread securely bungeed to the passenger seat. Going to the most promising tonight. All ya'll stand by, now.

On the advice of Sensei who referred me to UNC, and the feeling I got watching both the kids and the adult class, and the fact the dojang is 5 minutes from the hospital in the right direction, and the cheapest of the three I looked at... I am now 10th Gup, Carolina Karate Club Tang Soo Do.

My gi is about the same as before, but way more patches. More hand and feet techniques, more takedowns, more discipline, more family-oriented, less kata. One steps back to downblock (Ha Dan Mahk Kee), and centering and chambering seems more exaggerated. There is some Hapkido.

There will be walking/running every day, and pushups and sit-ups to strengthen the body, and meditation/tantra every night to strengthen the mind.
