Jan. 12th, 2008 04:08 pmI’ve began moving in Salem, to where Phaedrus is, coming full circle, and participating in his health care. I’m struck by how small the volume of my stuff is. A few books and clothes, my altar, my yaroi-do, four swords, a small box of kitchen stuff and food, and some tools are all that I want. I’m half moved out of the Middle Chamber, with more stuff leaving this weekend. I’m still looking into options for crash space for weekends in Portland, and I’m still searching for a dojo and training options. I’m slowly buying a wakizashi to match my katana, and I have fewer concerns about money, as long as I work hard and live simply.
I’ve not heard from my patient from New Year’s Eve, and I’m presuming that she is happy and healthy. My friend is mostly recovered and is out of the hospital, with a diagnosis of myasthenia gravis, a disease that is still making him very weak. The uchideshi is also out of the hospital and recovering, working on her own lessons of expectations and judgment. She and I are similar in so many ways.
The chopper is making slow progress, and should be ready for street testing in the spring, with the propane cannon designed and testing by the summer, in plenty of time for Burning Man. I’m looking at finding the time get some riding in, visiting my brother’s family in CA in the Spring and the Fall. My practice is picking up, and I’m busy with assessments and referrals, working three days a week. I believe that my practice will, if anything, get busier.
Tantrically, I’ve completed my pancha makara (although it took me five days to be aware that I had), and I’m working on not just myself but also others, and grounding negative energy down instead of out. I have a strong and challenging red tantra partner, and training with her promises to teach me much. Tam and I seem to be deepening our relationship, and I seem to be able to keep my shields down more easily. I’m continuing to focus on attention to detail, and awareness of my psychic imprint, staying in the moment.
