Aug. 5th, 2008 02:20 pmThis was a wonderful weekend of ritual, training, and learning and review from a Temple brother. There was dinner, and making out, and delivered mail. I spent much of the weekend with Miss Rebecca, my co-presenter, and our service relationship is working out well. We are learning how each other think, and she will be an asset during my class in two weeks. Thanks to her, I eat well - and I can practice and improve some of my skills. To leach Bushido is to learn Bushido.
Phaedrus continues to improve, and is now putting some weight on his paw. I just heard from my chopper mechanic, and he has news – my bad motor scooter will have a CB750 motor, and be very old school, and exactly what I want. Bad news: it won’t be rideable until two weeks after the Burn. The Harley is running well, and is my daily rider most days, unless I’ve got a truck bed full of junk/stuff.
Work continues, and I have to catch up and maintain my caseload. Many of my testing reports are coming due, and referrals continue to pour in. I’ve had to start refusing new clients, and I’ll be spending some extra time at the office. Personal emails, voicemails, and regular social contact will be limited for a week or so. Please stand by.
Additionally, there are constant projects when owning a house, and I’m getting some of them done. Things are slowly getting organized in the Fortress of Solitude – the garage and the well-house are now better organized, and more junk/stuff that doesn’t belong is now loaded and on the way out. Part of my altar was gifted to a Strega Witch, and in exchange I received a gift of 5 sets of stainless steel Joyce Chen chopsticks, to my amusement and the enjoyment of several people on this list.
Next: finalizing and practicing my presentations, and considering my priestly duties and prepping for the Burn. I am certain that the way that my life has been shifting and growing is preparing me for ... something. Ok, then. Bring it on.
