Nov. 9th, 2009 09:39 amThis weekend was fairly busy. This was the weekend of belated birthday gifts, including a 'premium membership' to the geocaching site that allows my to log all of my found caches (thank you again, Miss Rebecca!).The Darklady party also provided a birthday wish that - well, you had to be there. *grin* I also gathered yet more medical supplies and gear to further outfit the bus (#17), and splurged - buying myself a birthday gift that's been on my list for a long time. I think the bus is pretty complete at this point, and once a few little projects are complete and everything has been stowed, this goal will be complete.
Also this weekend, there was another late-night geocaching run (#106) with Miss Rebecca, where we learned about various sneaky places to hide caches, and talked about organizing another route. I'm looking forward to spending time with her in rainy parking lots at 2am, poking in bushes and signs and walls. I also took the non-censored walking tour of Portland's Shanghai Tunnels (#94), learning a lot about early Portland history, and also scored a VooDoo doughnut.
I'm working off that doughnut, though - my running is slowly returning to speeds I'd rather be running (#1), and my numbers on both sit-ups (#6) and weight on the bench press (#4) are starting to return to higher numbers. I'll be house-sitting at a place with a hot tub this week, and getting both some self-care and some alone time, soaking my protesting muscles in hot water for a long time. I'll be finishing my 50-movies list this week (#99), and reading a new book (#62), and catching up on my sleep (#97).
