Goals Update
Feb. 12th, 2010 12:32 amI continue to run (#1). My pace is improving, as is my stamina. When I don't run, I walk, or I bicycle. Today I completed a 5K night run to the center of town, where there was a geocache that I scored under cover of darkness. Pushups, done with correct form (#5) = 35. Crunches, with correct form (#6) = 50. Although these numbers are acceptable for an average American male of my age (!), they are not acceptable to me. I see a lot of daily pushups and crunches in my future. I've found a few schools of martial arts I'll be exploring to supplement my physical training. (#35). Although I've been craving meat, my eating continues to improve overall (#26) and I'm making a habit of being more mindful of what I actually consume. I'm leaner and stronger than when I was on my roadtrip. I'm sleeping better, as well (#97).
I've been clearing out a lot of financial and professional paperwork to prepare for the impending job search. I've already got a good lead. I started networking today with the business community, and I'll be attending the local Masonic Lodge this upcoming week. Financially, I'm running lean but still OK. I lead a pretty simple life, and I can manage pretty inexpensively. I will need to find another place to live in a month or two, when tourist season arrives, and the RV Park I'm living in will drastically increase their rates.
I am spending a lot of quality time with the parents. That situation may be slowly improving, but I see myself in Texas for some time. Communication, independence/access, isolation, different mindsets, and some minor medical concerns will take time to resolve, and I have that time. I have begun studying for the EPPP (#14). The Work (#107) also continues. I am able to raise energy in one inhale or exhale, and I seem less knotted in my chakras (#13). My heart seems to be opening, and I've become quite ascetic in many ways. Perhaps I'm not as much 'unleashed chaos.' *smile* Life seems simpler and there seem to be less distractions and more patience.
