Goals /LIfe Update
Sep. 11th, 2010 11:35 pmI've re-entered post-Burn reality, and I'm closer to being back to functioning. I have trained two classes, despite some sinus infection and bronchitis-like symptoms. I'm not yet back to running, or a lot of physical activity. The running season in Texas has started full force, now that the weather's a bit cooler, and I plan to get back to running in a few days. Most of the laundry from the Burn has been completed, and is in neat stacks. I'll be using the next few days to reorganize and regroup, redoing the storage and furniture on 'Ol Number 3.
I have managed to finish Unsui: A Diary of Zen Monastic Life (ed. Bardwell Smith), an excellent illustrated book about living in a Zen Monastery (#62). My interest in pursuing this kind of life is growing. I'm looking at spending some time at the Austin Zen Center (#85), although this plan may be put on hold based on some family health issues. Any future travel anywhere is basically on hold for my father and I, although I may be able to go to Oregon for a few days in the Fall/Winter.
