Goals/Life Update - Day 445/1001
Dec. 23rd, 2012 10:02 pm"Happiness does not come from doing easy work but from the afterglow of satisfaction that comes after the achievement of a difficult task that demanded our best." - Theodore I. Rubin
Goals Completed: 17
Goals in Progress: 29
Body: I trained/taught a class at the Seguin dojang, and trained a single class in New Braunfels this week. My foot is still hurting, so no third class this week. This puts me at 8 makeup classes owed to myself (#1, #2). Still baseline on push-ups and sit-ups (#5, #6). I managed to again maintain a better sleep regimen this week (#14).
Mind: Still reading Zen Mind, Beginner's Mind, and also Affirmations (#28). Sienna and I have begun the process this week (#26) for our puja in February. I've missed a day or two this week in my meditation practice this week, but the practice itself is getting easier (#39). Root chakra issues are still my current meditative focus, although I'm getting ready to move up to the sacral chakra. Upon reviewing the training requirements for ARES Field Operator (#104), I find I've already met about half of them with CERT and ICS classes.
Work: Although I'm now part of the American Red Cross Learning Management System, this is not the time to work on classes for acquiring a Disaster Response specialization (#49), even if there were any available. Therefore I'm removing it from 'in-progress' for now.
Life: Again, no progress on the Sportster (#75) project. There was a couple of opportunities to be "Santa Grim" for a few struggling families this season (#78). Working slowly to complete the geocaching Finds by Day of Year (all years combined); completed December. Dad and I have met with an independent care facility about possible placement options and family issues. I'm housesitting for two dogs for 5 days, and working every day except the Christmas day this week.
This week on 'Ol Number 3: The loadout process has begun. Top storage was loaded and organized, although not yet secured. Most of our stuff is being purged and sorted and is being loaded. Loadout: 8 days.
