Goals/Life Update - Day 480/1001
Jan. 27th, 2013 10:20 pmThe Warrior’s Prayer
I am what I am.
In having faith in the beauty within me I develop trust.
In softness I have strength.
In silence I walk with the gods.
In peace I understand myself and the world.
In conflict I walk away.
In detachment I am free.
In respecting all living things I respect myself.
In dedication I honor the courage within me.
In eternity I have compassion for the nature of all things.
In love I unconditionally accept the evolution of others.
In freedom I have power.
In my individuality I express the God-Force within me.
In service I give of what I have become.
I am what I am:
Eternal, immortal, universal, and infinite.
And so be it. (Stuart Wilde)
Goals Completed: 17
Goals in Progress: 31
I note that I now have (temporarily) 31 goals in progress. *smile*
Body: This week I trained/taught a single class at the Seguin dojang, and trained a single class in New Braunfels. I've had some back and digestive problems this week, slowing down my training. This puts me at 16 makeup classes owed to myself (#1, #2), although I've already completed the minimum required for the Cho Dan test. I've again worked on running, push-ups and sit-ups (#3, #5, #6) this week, but I haven't tested my maximum numbers yet and updated my profile. I managed to once again maintain a better sleep regimen this week (#14).
Mind: I've finished Affirmations. I'm starting on my last book for this goal, The Overlook Martial Arts Reader, edited by Randy F. Nelson. (#28). Sienna and I are now daily engaged in the process (#26) for our puja in February. I've continued daily in my meditation practice (#39), and have started daily Bhakti (#38).
Work: No progress.
Life: Again, no progress on the Sportster (#75) project. Still caching to complete the geocaching Finds by Day of Year (all years combined), and I have completed my second month. Almost found 1800 geocaches, and scored an FTF yesterday with Steph in New Braunfels. I'll be checking my yearly credit reports tomorrow (#93).
This week on 'Ol Number 3: She's got a new kitchen shelf that allows for better storage of day-to-day food, but it's unpainted and unfinished while we test it out. She also has a finished much bigger bedroom shelf for electronics and gear. There's a lot less stuff crammed where there's room, and more stuff where it's supposed to be and thoughtfully organized. Tomorrow I start on a two-battery switch setup for more power and more dry-camp options.
