Yesterday and today at the House of a Thousand Projects, we canned 30 pints of grape jelly, in various sizes, and 4.5 pints of mixed fruit jelly (grape, blackberry, blueberry, and rosehips). This completed a supplemental goal, although I suspect we’ll be doing more canning and preserving. We still have 40 cups of grape juice for later use in the freezer. All of this was harvested from the property. Although it’s late in the season, we still have a lot of rosehips and walnuts to harvest, although we missed the apple harvest.

We’ve also taken a stab at the yard, which is pretty overgrown with weeds, blackberries, and creeper vine. I see some work with a machete and garden shears in my future. We’re also slowly reintegrating some of the stored and boxed stuff back into the House, and making more space.
