Goals/Life Update - Day 731/1001
Oct. 3rd, 2013 08:02 pm"The Second Amendment is a doomsday provision, one designed for those exceptionally rare circumstances where all other rights have failed—where the government refuses to stand for reelection and silences those who protest; where courts have lost the courage to oppose, or can find no one to enforce their decrees. However improbable these contingencies may seem today, facing them unprepared is a mistake a free people get to make only once." - Ninth Circuit Judge Alex Kozinski
Goals Completed: 32
Goals in Progress: 26
This morning we went to Longview for a medical lecture on hand disorders, and also found a geocache for yet another day of Finds by Day of Year. I took advantage of an unexpected sunny afternoon, and got a lot of burning done. All of the house paper garbage, a layer of the woodshed, some of the yard debris, a wall of the old pumphouse, and a rotting woodpile were all burned. Tomorrow, assuming more good weather, I’ll get rid of most of the remaining yard debris and more or all of the old pumphouse.
More organization and cleaning is planned for Ol’ Number 3 in the next few weeks. I have a plan to start organizing my hard drives/music (#102) as the weather turns colder, so this is added to my in-progress list. The new word: anagapesis (a loss of feelings for one formerly loved; a falling out of love).
