Goals/Life Update - Day 769/1001
Nov. 10th, 2013 07:19 pmGoals are a means to an end, not the ultimate purpose of our lives. They are simply a tool to concentrate our focus and move us in a direction. The only reason we really pursue goals is to cause ourselves to expand and grow. Achieving goals by themselves will never make us happy in the long term; it's who you become, as you overcome the obstacles necessary to achieve your goals, that can give you the deepest and most long-lasting sense of fulfillment. - Anthony Robbins
Success is the doing, not the getting; in the trying, not the triumph. Success is a personal standard, reaching for the highest that is in us, becoming all that we can be. If we do our best, we are a success. -Zig Ziglar
Goals Completed: 32
Goals in Progress: 27
Since the last update, I’ve completed as much of the geocaching Finds by Day of Year supplemental goal as I can for this 101/1001 list. This last year I’ve made a concentrated effort to fill in the grid of days I’d not yet found a geocache, and I almost succeeded - except for one day in July when Ol’ Number 3 broke down in Texas.
I’ve broken my fast (#12), and participated in a likely successful Puja, and took care of some unfinished business (#26). I’ve completed both Disaster Action Team Fundamentals and Disaster Assessment Fundamentals online, part of the American Red Cross Disaster Response specialization process (#49). I’ve visited what will be my new office, and learned where to park. I’ve got referrals waiting; I just need to hear from the Oregon LPC Board that they’ve gotten the verification of my Texas licensure.
I’ve also scored some unused gardening supplies, including some seeds, stakes, a planter, and some trays and buckets. Thank you, Humbug House! New word: tissick (med. obs.) pulmonary tuberculosis; asthma; a dry cough.
12. 7-day fast/detox my body yearly [1/3] - 9/14/12, 11/9/13,
49. acquire a Disaster Response specialization (American Red Cross): completed Disaster Services: An Overview (Online), Diversity Sensitivity and Awareness eLearning, Disaster Action Team Fundamentals, Disaster Assessment Fundamentals
