Do not be too timid and squeamish about your actions. All life is an experiment. The more experiments you make the better. What if they are a little coarse and you may get your coat soiled or torn? What if you do fail, and get fairly rolled in the dirt once or twice. Up again, you shall never be so afraid of a tumble. - Ralph Waldo Emerson

My Oregon counseling license was issued this week, so I’m set to see my first client. *smile* Next, I’ve called the Addiction Counselor Certification Board of Oregon and I’m getting started on that process, although it’s well above my current budget (#48). Also, I found out why my NCC certificate hadn’t arrived – surprise! CEU Audit! Although I had lost/destroyed my 2009 and 2010 CEU certificates, I still had almost enough CEUs from 2011 to current to pass – so I completed 2 more CEUs (#45) to get through the audit.

The American Red Cross Volunteer Orientation scheduled for tomorrow in Salem was cancelled due to weather, so they sent me the link to their Orientation Video, and I’ve already completed it. I’ve also emailed them about my desire for a Disaster Mental Health Response specialization (#49) tonight, and I’ve updated my volunteer profile. That should get the ball rolling.

At the House of a Thousand Projects, lots of little things were worked on. The woodshed got another load of trash removed, as did the garage. Some paving stones found in the front yard trellis were used to reinforce a flower bed and to cover a muddy spot. Burning of the paper trash, deck repairs, and insulation of the water pipe was also completed. More organization and watering of plants in the greenhouse will be scheduled for the weekend.
