Goals/Life Update - Day 887/1001
Mar. 8th, 2014 04:57 pmThe greatest personal limitation is to be found not in the things you want to do and can't, but in the things you've never considered doing. - Richard Bandler
Goals Completed: 34
Goals in Progress: 28
I managed to fix my truck parking brake, although getting out of the garage later I slipped back in the mud and busted my taillight cover on the edge of the garage. *sigh* Part’s ordered, it’ll arrive and be fixed next week. I did replace my cracked front grill successfully, and I fixed my passenger door that wouldn’t close or lock (stuck latch). Hopefully, there will be gravel next week for the driveway.
Writing of completed things, I attended an all-day retreat last week at the Great Vow Zen Monastery (#35). I finished studying for the MAC exam, and I officially completed the test this morning. I think I passed; I’ll find out in six weeks or so. I’ve interviewed for some agency work that is very interested in whether or not I passed.
At the Red Cross (#49), I’ve had my first disaster response – a house fire. We did good work, and I’m learning the system. I’ve met the new Disaster Program Manager and he’s onboard with me getting a specialization in Disaster Mental Health. I’m scheduled to take Psychological First Aid this month, a required class for Disaster Mental Health, and learn the Casework forms, also required.
Getting ready to plant and start seeds in the greenhouse.
