Last weekend Steph and I went to the Mount St. Helens National Volcanic Monument, and collected our Junior Geologist and out Junior Ranger badges, as well as spending a day learning about the eruption and the geology of a likely still-active volcano. Than we worked on getting a bunch of McMenamin’s Passport stamps (one of my supplemental goals), visiting eight different establishments from Portland to McMinnville to Lincoln City, with the bonus of visiting the Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum (#32). It was a ‘free day’ for an expensive museum, and we toured the Spruce Goose, the SR-71 Blackbird, and the collection of lovingly maintained WWII aircraft and an extensive space vehicle collection.
A quieter weekend, with a cancelled Firefighter training. Still training (#01, #10) and still knocking out pushups and situps (#07, #08). Still working on eating more mindfully and sleeping better (#14, #16). Wrote this month’s haiku (#19). I missed a day with my new student because of life circumstances, but I’ll get four days with him next weekend. I’m scheduled to get my years’ worth of CEUs in two weeks (#41). Starting to focus more and more on organizing Ol’ Number 3 (#69).
