Goals/Life Update - Day 401/1001

Goals Completed: 11
Goals in Progress: 29
I haven’t posted for a couple of weeks, just because I’ve been busier than usual. Work has picked up a little with several new clients. I’ve managed to keep most of my health challenge goals, although I lost the sleep goal (#16) for not getting enough sleep for a week out of the month. I did, however, get in two of the three scheduled concerts I wanted to go to (#99), a year worth of CEUs in three days (#41), got enough makeup training to meet the challenge requirement (#01, #10), maintained and improved my endurance and stamina with pushups and situps (#07, #08) and continued to eat much more mindfully (#14) overall. Four out of five challenge goals isn't bad.
My brother and his family spent a night visiting us on their way through their summer vacation, and got the extended tour of the fire station and every fire apparatus. It was good to see them, and I’ll likely be returning the visit the end of the month as I start my vacation. I’m not going to Burning Man this year. Instead, I’m taking the Green Tortoise on an 8-day loop of western National Parks, which will complete my week-long hiking/camping goal (#91).
Tomorrow I’ll perform my first rig check at the Quincy substation, training on my assigned Engine (E487) and the Water Tender (WT486). This weekend I’ll be running the Spartan Race (#5, #12). Next weekend we’ll go visit the Columbia Gorge Interpretive Center Museum (#32), and sometime this month I hope to be able to both fast (#15) and spend a week in the local Zen Monastery (#21).
