“If you are patient in one moment of anger, you will escape a hundred days of sorrow” ― Rainer Maria Rilke

Body/Martial Arts/Physical Improvement/Testing Myself: No progress. I'm still getting ready to start training hard for the Fight for Air Climb in my turnouts; I'll start with a good run on Saturday.

Mind/Spirit/Centering/Health: I finished another book, Black Autumn, a good book about post-disaster human behavior. I participated in a Japanese Calligraphy class. I'll be sitting zazen tomorrow. Some haiku below.

Maintenance/Shit Got To Be Done: I'm finished with another set of specialty CEUs for my CADC III credentials due in April, and that will also count for all of my 2020 CEUs for my mental health licensure.

In Case of Zombies/Disaster Preparation: No progress.

Base Station/Ol' Number 3: Ol' Number 3 is deployed to her spot on the property, and her power situation has been resolved (broken 50' power cord). I've got good spots for fruit tree orchard placement and setting up a garden. I submitted a building permit to the county last Friday. I found a dead mouse that had created a smell, did laundry, and I'm organizing and purging and making space and working on lots of little projects that will make Ol' Number 3 more comfortable.

Travel/Adventure/Doing Stuff: I went on a successful challenge geocache run with another geocacher in Albany, and joined GEO (Geocachers Exploring Oregon). I will be going on another geocaching hike in the Columbia Gorge this weekend.

There continues to be many changes in my life. I will be moving my office by March 1st, to a small and comfortable office where I'll have a lot more agency and autonomy. My life is clarifying itself, and lots of barriers are disappearing effortlessly. Life is still hard, but I am simply moving through it. My clients are beginning to get better, cyclically, and I have some breathing room. There is more silence and solitude.

Haiku

Peace, and rain
pattering on the roof
music for reading

walking around
gentle mist, rolling fog
garden will grow

brief snow and mud -
glad for spreading gravel
the bus, secured!
