If you set goals and go after them with all the determination you can muster, your gifts will take you places that will amaze you. — Les Brown

Body/Martial Arts/Physical Improvement/Testing Myself: I'm back to 120 daily pushups, in three sets. I've attended four more Qigong/Tai Chi classes this week, including a makeup class from last week. The new heavier-duty sandbag was filled with 40 lbs. of sand, and my February GoRuck 'Strength' patch is on my ruck. The Function Check patches we earned the first week of January have finally arrived at Base Station. I've finished Generation Kill by Evan Wright, the March Goruck reading assignment. Faye and I have completed the “Harrison” WOD, a 15-minute AMRAP of 3 Sandbag Hang Cleans, 3 Sandbag Presses, 6 Ruck push-ups, and 12 Sit-ups (with ruck on chest), with me using my 35-lb. ruck and my new 40-lb. sandbag. We still have the three 3-mile Heavy Rucks and the bonus WOD left to do, as well as finish the additional tasking.

Mind/Spirit/Centering/Health: I'm still not done studying The Art of War by Sun Tzu from my permanent library. I'm also still halfway through Nomadland: Surviving America in the Twenty-First Century by Jessica Bruder. I'm continuing my daily meditation for the month of March. Haiku below.

New words: Compendious means "concise" or "comprehensive." I guessed expansive, which was incorrect.

Maintenance/Shit Got To Be Done: I've completed my addiction counselor recertification. I have been busy unpacking and finishing the office between clients. I've completed another CEU online class, Suicide Risk Management in LGBTQ + and the Veteran Community. I have fully reviewed my credit score; all of my Hard Inquiries have dropped off and I continue to have excellent credit. I've touched base with my investment broker. I'm living within my means, I guess. I've signed up for my biannual CPR/BLS for Healthcare Providers course.

In Case of Zombies/Disaster Preparation: We completed our GoRuck Self-Responder class. It was good practical training and review of tactical positioning, triage, crowd control, using our IFAKs for bleeding control, basic penetrating chest trauma treatment, and treating for and preventing shock. This was a good review for me, with a few different perspectives on tactical positioning and a better way to apply direct pressure, but a new training experience for Faye. Practice equals confidence, and that equals speed and competency. I was allowed a volunteer shift at the station this week and spent most of my 5-hour shift completing some of my overdue annual training, namely Confined Space Awareness, HIPAA Awareness and Infectious Disease Control.

Base Station/Ol' Number 3: No progress. We've almost got a fourth radio set up at Base Station, but we've got a faulty connector.

Adventure/Doing Stuff: We went on another epic sunny and warm mostly socially-distanced road trip NE Washington to take the GoRuck Self-Responder course, and we geocached a big loop around the Washington Coast, collecting 10 Washington DeLorme squares, and some rare and old geocaches. We've completed all of the squares west of the line between Portland and Seattle. Faye and I also took my nephew to the Imagine Dragons concert, his favorite band, and his first major concert. *smile*
