101/1001 Update
Jul. 1st, 2022 03:33 pmβIt has been said that all revolutions begin in our hearts...What I am asking you to consider is to revolt from your comforts and limitations. The threshold of possibility comes with a price. The truth is found deep in the pain. By embracing our physical exhaustion, it will connect us to our emotions and our emotions to our spirit. Whatever that may be for you is irrelative. Revolt, dig deep and embrace.β β Roger Sparks
Body/Martial Arts/Physical Improvement/Testing Myself: Still no other progress due to my hamstring injury. We still have March's bonus WOD and April's WOD to complete, and all of May's GoRuck 'Reverence' Challenge tasks, except for one of the two 5-mile Heavy Rucks (45-lb. ruck) and the required reading, and all of June's 'Dare' Challenge, except for one of the 4-mile Rucks (35-lb. ruck). My bodyweight training is still paused for another week or so. *sigh* I'm working back up to a set of 30 pushups daily and 3 sets of 25 grippers every work day, and I was able to train three slightly modified Yang Style Tai Chi/QiGong classes again but it's still pretty tight and grumpy.
We transferred the canceled Foam Glow race registration to the Terrain Race later this summer. I am the Captain of our team of the Rugged Maniac race this upcoming weekend, but I may be passing on some of the obstacles - depending on how my hamstring feels.
Mind/Spirit/Centering/Health: I'm still reading The Chinese Martial Code: The Art of War by Sun Tzu, The Precepts of War by Sima Rangju, and Wu Zi on the Art of War by A. L. Sadler.
Maintenance/Shit Got To Be Done: The daily driver is finally back from the mechanic's garage. Next up: The Whorse.
In Case of Zombies/Disaster Preparation: No Progress. I will be at the station all day on the Fourth of July. I'll be in my Class B's for the Parade, and probably my Wildland gear for the rest of the day.
Base Station/Ol' Number3: More wood hardener has arrived for the Fu Dogs. We finally got all of the corrections for the electrical permit completed and documented, and we've ran some extra CAT5/phone cable for future projects.
Adventure/Doing Stuff: No progress.
