Live with intention. Walk to the edge. Listen hard. Practice wellness. Play with abandon. Laugh. Choose with no regret. Appreciate your friends. Continue to learn. Do what you love. Live as if this is all there is. — Mary Anne Radmacher

Martial Arts/Physical Improvement/Testing Myself: I'm back to a mostly daily routine, with two sets of 30 pushups, and three sets of grippers on days I'm in my office (to work on increasing my grip strength). I'm starting slow and planning on building. I trained in two Yang Style Tai Chi/Qigong classes this last week, but the dojo was closed due to Portland's snow/ice storm, and we both picked up a nasty (non-COVID?) bug that made it hard to think, much less do anything. I have trained in three classes this week, and I have restarted the beginning of the Yang 13 Palms Staff form. I have a weightlifting plan for the dojo equipment, focusing on chin-ups, but I have still not started it yet - but I have gotten the updated 'open gym' schedule availability and the approval of the Sifu. We will be going to Snohomish, WA for the Spartan race, although I have not signed up for it yet. I may hold off for a bit, and see if there is a late addition to the Spartan schedule.

On the February GoRuck 'Discomfort' Challenge tasks, we still only have the workout - 13 rounds of 7 Ruck Push-Ups (baseline weight), 19 Ruck Squats (baseline weight), and 41 Mountain Climbers (2-count, slick), with a cash out of 13 Man Makers - left to complete. Because of our illness, unfortunately, we didn't get it done by the end of the month, so we'll have to make that up this month when we're more healthy.

March's GoRuck 'Luck' Challenge tasks have dropped, and the workout is 7 rounds of 10 Push Ups (ruck optional), 22 Ruck Single Arm Rows (11 each arm), 11 Sandbag Push Presses (ruck optional), 10 Ruck Squats (with ruck), 6 Ruck Reverse Lunges (each leg, with ruck), and 13 Ruck Swings, honoring the female Cultural Support Teams (CST) fielded by Army Special Operations. The rucking requirement is to "carry 35 lbs. for 6 miles" with the Additional Challenge: "The standard for female CSTs was 35# for 6 miles in 1 hour 39 minutes. Meet the standard." The FxCK/Function Check is "20x Wo-Man Makers", and the book of the month is The Greatest Beer Run Ever: A Memoir of Friendship, Loyalty, and War by John "Chick" Donohue and J. T. Molloy.

Mind/Spirit/Centering/Health: I'm still reading How to Be Compassionate: a Handbook for Creating Inner Peace and a Happier World by The Dalai Lama XIV and Jeffrey Hopkins, Hope Dies Last: Keeping the Faith in Difficult Times by Studs Terkel, Your Brain on Food: How Chemicals Control Your Thoughts and Feelings by Gary L. Wenk. I've added Kodo: Ancient Ways: Lessons in the Spiritual Life of the Warrior/Martial Artist by Kensho Furuya, and I've just finished reading a book a client recommended, Blessed is the Flame: An Introduction to Concentration Camp Resistance and Anarcho-Nihilism, by Serafinski. The 16 Precepts Classes will start this upcoming week.

Maintenance/Shit Got To Be Done: I attended an online kink class on Mindfucks/Psychological Manipulation, by Deborah Fields, a sex educator and therapist in the UK, and I have a couple of more classes scheduled in the near future.

In Case of Zombies/Disaster Preparation: No Progress. The Disaster Preparation supplies inventory has been checked for the latest cold weather/snowstorm, and we are in good order. We've kept power and heat. Portland was basically shut down, including the dojo and most businesses, and it looks like we're in for another wave this week of cold and snow, so we're keeping the supplies ready.

Base Station/Ol' Number 3: No progress. I still need to replace the trailer light connector on the Daily Driver, and although I have gotten the parts and the tools to do so, and they are where I am not. Base Station lost power for about five hours, per The Old Man, but propane backups kept some heat going. A generator backup will be a priority this Spring, and a backup generator in the Pump House will also likely happen. The second part of the tool cabinet arrived and was picked up, and I'll attach it the next time I'm at Base Station.

Adventure/Doing Stuff: We will be going to HUMP! Film Festival this upcoming week.
