Body/Martial Arts/Physical Improvement/Testing Myself: I'm still doing the 2021 Back on Track 30-Day Challenge, and I'm currently at 70 of 200 miles. I'm also current with the weekly physical exercises (200 Jumping Jacks last week, 200 lunges this week), and also doing 100+ pushups a day. I'm also still doing the GoRuck January Seek Pain Challenge, as well, and getting in my daily mile ruck, and completed the additional tasking of rucking with another person I hadn't connected with for too long (a late-night virtual Free Library ruck with the Deshi). I'm waiting for the delivery of the book, and training for the workout. I've been rucking with rain gear this week, as we're experiencing some high winds and heavy rain.
Mind/Spirit/Centering/Health: I'm continuing training mindfulness with my eating patterns. I finished Wild, a few 'popcorn' novels, and I'm halfway through The Wooden Bowl: Simple Meditation for daily Life by Clark Strand. I will be making up my zazen at a virtual zendo as a formal meditative practice over the next few weeks/months. I'm meditating daily this month. It's been a while. I'm remembering posture and breathing and systemic calming, and my tantric training. Medical issues with The Old Man continue; currently, we're dealing with insurance issues. My time in The Staging Area is limited; the house sold quickly, and I've got to move out in about a month. That, client outcomes, the whole dumpster fire of sociopolitical system failure, Base Station, and other issues have increased my stressors significantly. Haiku below.
Maintenance/Shit Got To Be Done: The Whorse still has a lot of problems - after less than 10 miles, she had a vehicle fire and was towed back to the mechanics. I'm ok. *sigh again* I'm moving that goal down back to 'in progress'.
In Case of Zombies/Disaster Preparation: I'm doing a weekly 3-hour comprehensive EMT refresher online for the next five months, since I've been off Medic 481 for a while. This will count as 'live' training for my recertification, starting this Wednesday. The Station is still closed for volunteer shifts.
Base Station/Ol' Number 3: No changes or updates.
Travel/Adventure/Doing Stuff: No progress. The Old Man and I still on a two-week quarantine until tomorrow because of my recent sore throat as an abundance of caution and because of extended time in a hospital facility. Currently, no symptoms from either of us.
