“If you know the art of breathing you have the strength, wisdom and courage of ten tigers.”
– Chinese adage

Body/Martial Arts/Physical Improvement/Testing Myself: I've managed to mostly shake off a non-COVID cold/flu, and I'm back to 200 daily pushups, in four sets, on the days when I have energy. I'm continuing an extra set of max reps with the pushup bars, and two sets of 20 forearm grippers on workdays. I've only trained in one Qigong/Tai Chi class last week, and two this week, staying masked. I'm progressing to the advanced group.

There's been very little progress on last month's or this month's GoRuck Challenge. We still have April's WOD and the book, and March's bonus WOD, to complete. I have started the book Breath: The New Science of a Lost Art by James Nestor. No progress on May's GoRuck 'Reverence' Challenge.

Mind/Spirit/Centering/Health: I've started The Chinese Martial Code: The Art of War of Sun Tzu, The Precepts of War by Sima Rangju, Wu Zi on the Art of War by A. L. Sadler. I'm keeping up my daily meditation practice for May. I've again 'sat' virtual zazen, as well as attended a Dharma Talk.

New words: Bloviate means "to speak or write verbosely and windily." Turpitude refers to an inherent lack of integrity or morality, or to an evil or immoral act.

Maintenance/Shit Got To Be Done: I have a follow-up physical appointment this week, as well as getting some off-road lighting on the daily driver scheduled for next week.

In Case of Zombies/Disaster Preparation: I have completed one more class of the Community Health Paramedicine course, MIH Communication for Children With Special Needs & Geriatric Medicine. MIH Hospice Patients and Nutritional Needs was rescheduled.

Base Station/Ol' Number 3: I finally got the inspection reports for the electrical and mechanical permits. We passed the mechanical permit with no corrections needed, and only three minor corrections on the electrical permit (and they will get fixed soon). I'm still working on the septic system plan.

Adventure/Doing Stuff: We went to the King & Country concert, with Dante Bowe opening, staying masked and avoiding crowds. Although I am not usually a fan of Christian Pop music, this concert was a high-energy, well-produced show with a message of hope and reducing human trafficking, suicide, and child poverty.
