Sep. 24th, 2007 05:53 pmThe balance of day and night, Fall Equinox, has passed, although I will not celebrate this until this upcoming weekend. Ian comments that it’s the time of Death and Transformation, with Rebirth happening in its own time. I notice my music tastes turning darker to match the season. Tam continues to be a bright spot, and I have been blessed to see her when it’s possible. She is my Bhoga, and I’ve enjoyed every moment I get to be with her. Mango takes her massage boards tomorrow, and I’ve also enjoyed helping her study, another bright spot.
Despite running over my laptop with my truck, and a few other minor things happening, I’m moving forward. I’ve smoothly transitioned into my new position as a Psychology Resident with an excellent neuropsychologist as my clinical supervisor, and I’ll be here for a year getting my license. I’m open for business, and taking referrals for both neuropsych assessments and psychotherapy cases with folks. I can wear both my Utilikilts and leathers to work.
I’ve most likely rented out the Fortress of Solitude again, and I’ll be living in PDX and continuing to relentlessly purge and trade stuff. The Ronin’s got a pinstripe, and much of my extra clothes, and I’ve got a belt that holds up my kilts no matter what I’m carrying. The chopper goes to trusted friends, and my pile of stuff is getting smaller. Five Swords, and Five Books, and being the Fifth Brahman, remain.
I’m about to take my ‘mid-term exam’ in my training this Friday, and I’ve been adjusting and training hard, but a dojo continues to evade me. Reverse polarity, witnessing, and energy movement, and holding it all together and integrating it and grounding simultaneously, have been my challenge and my focus. We’ll see if I’m ready this time. I’m happy to relearn the basics, and I’m working to fill in the gaps of my training from being 3000 miles from your teacher, and I’ve got a new mala to work with.
Blessings of the season to you all.

Date: 2007-09-25 01:42 pm (UTC)Sounds like things are going well. Trying to imagine my reaction if the Pysch I saw all those years ago had a utilikilt on when I had to go visit. Cannot do it, he was such a stuck up prig.
Good luck on Friday.

I'm already getting a reputation with certain non-traditional folks.
