Jun. 23rd, 2008 03:47 pmSo, I've been busy this last week. Besides my usual practice...
I've officiated a wedding, and managed to both perform the ritual and calm the groom with the worst allergy attack of the year - and not accidentally cut anyone with the sword draw for the sword jumping ceremony. Prednisone was acquired the next day, and I'm now mostly over the taper, and breathing and seeing much better.
I made the Bavarian Illuminati MC season opener at Maryhill, WA, and welcomed the sun rise. I ran out of gas less than half a mile from the exit, and many thanks to my brother Tiny for the rescue - but this allowed for a wonderful surprise call from a certain Prez from AZ. "Hey, this is Grim, and I'm calling by the side of the road..." Mead was drank, old friends were caught up with, and Ara rode behind me on my bike in colors and a skirt.
I've gotten ideas and plans for my tattoo session for when I get back from Maui, had a great party and breakfast at Hip Haus, catching up with yet more people, helped take keys away from a drunk biker, and flirted safely yet outrageously. Last night I ran with a Warrior I've been training with, and agreed to a fire sword duel, possibly in August. Just because.
This week? Training, packing, preparing for both a service class I'll be teaching in August, training a co-presenter, and getting ready for SOAK and Maui. I'm also finishing my mandala assignment, reading Jack Rinella's Partners in Power, and getting a physical exam. Time to take care of the body, as well as the mind.
