The house leak...well, turned out to be quite a bit more of an issue than expected. The Seneschal called the plumber to find out what the problem was, and opened the crawlspace to the house---and it was full almost to the bottom of the floorboards with water, and the leak we noticed was water escaping from a crack in the foundation. So, we've been running a small sump pump all night and we are pumping water out at a good rate (better once I cut a kink out of the water hose and got rid of the back pressure---the only time kink=bad), and the plumber is coming back this afternoon. We suspect a fitting or a pipe underneath the house broke or wore out, but we'll know for sure this afternoon.

Crisis calls this month = 42, with no one hospitalized or dead.

Internship interview (the only one), January 10, with finding out the results of the interview/Match February 28. I'd start, if i got the site, in September. I'm already starting to transition down my caseload of clients---somewhat difficult to do when they keep relapsing, threatening to cut, burn, or kill themselves, and keep getting traumatized and re-traumatized. Sigh.

Dissertation: working on it. Stand by.

Karate: I'm forced to have that be less a priority, as my clients and the house must come first. I don't like that. I will continue, when I can.

Christmas? Well, it happened. My folks were very understanding and encouraging, and my Father, as always, helped me make the ethical decision...I have to do what I have to do to protect my clients, and it's all about responsibility and honor, over everything else, including my family traditions. Whenever I get stuck, I ask myself, "what would my Dad do?", and then I do that. Thanks, Dad.
