Goals Update/Road Trip to Texas
Jan. 23rd, 2010 10:19 amCompleted: 31/107
In progress: 25
Despite torrential rain, snow on the last pass, flooding, water in the washes as high as the front wheels of 'Ol Number 3, and a washed out road with roads closing both behind me and in front of me, I made it through CA (#57). Thank you, CalTrans!
I was without internet until this morning, so I'm posting to update and let people know I'm alive. *smile* I spent the first night in Firebaugh in a restaurant parking lot, the second in Kramer Junction behind another restaurant, and the third behind a gas station in Parker, AZ. 'Ol Number 3 is doing well, although she got very wet and muddy, and she had an exhaust connection break that was fixed yesterday after a great breakfast.
I'm now in Phoenix, AZ with President Amazon, at a conference. Today there will be brief geocaching and sightseeing, and some volunteering at the conference. After this weekend, on to Tucson!
