Goals /LIfe Update
Mar. 3rd, 2010 12:18 amI've been a bit busy these last few days. Today was the first day as a furniture mover, and I'll have another day of that tomorrow. I have two clients on Friday, the first of my practice in New Braunfels. This was the second day of my training in a Tang Soo Do dojang (#35), and I've committed to a year-long contract. The money I make for moving furniture will pay for my training fees.
Ol' Number 3 continues to get little projects done, and may score a couch this week if I can find one. I've replaced her ladder with a better one, and I have a spare ladder and the motorcycle ramp secured to the roof out of the way. She's also got a new starter button, a new heater/exhaust hose, her air compressor belt tightened, and her fluids checked.
This is also the second day of Bhakti (#107), and I've figured out a way to make it less of a ritual, and more of both a sacrifice and devotion to both Shakti and Shiva that has more sarvata. Shakti demands a very big part of me, and I've given her that, with the help of some gear that I'm still fiddling with. Shiva demands that I train the body as a beginner, and my muscles ache in ways they've not ached for some time. Abs and push-ups (#5, #6) are getting daily plateau-busting workouts. I'll not be a Cho Bo Ja for long.
I've reorganized my 101/1001 list into categories, and I note that the categories of Life and Travel/Adventures have gotten a lot more play than the categories of Training the Body, Training the Mind/Emotions/Spirit, and Work. Hmmm. Ok, then. Working on that. Perhaps that's one of the reasons the Universe has sent me to Texas.
