The Burn Update

grim23The Man has just burned, and I and 50,000+ have as well. Overall, a very peaceful burn for me.
18 hours walkin' the dirt and guarding the Stick as a Green Dot Ranger, and 8 hours of ranger training on top of that.
Three 24-hour shifts of ESD/MHB. More professionalism and wearing of my ESD polo shirt than usual.
Dust storms, white outs, extreme cold, rain, and extreme heat. Oh. Your hexayurt? Nope. Spending time in Ranger Outpost Berlin. (#42)
Being gifted the use of a radio on my first Ranger shift, and making contacts with the BRC Amateur Radio Association. "KF5IEC, mobile."
Being a Ranger Fluffer, and being fluffed. Twice.
Being a Thunderdome Medic, and multiple Rangers replacing Lothos, at the same time. Watching my friends fight and do well.
My yearly haiku of sadness (#69). Less tears than usual.
Riding around and seeing the deep playa art with my friends from Portland.
Steak and 12-year scotch and a fine cigar after a foot massage and pedicure, to MRE parts eaten on the run to a domestic violence call. Within 12 hours of each other.
And, of course, much more.
