Goals/Life Update - One year left!
Sep. 29th, 2010 11:49 amDespite an unusually difficult time attempting to sleep last night (#97), I managed to get up and run (#2) this morning. I'm back to banging out pushups in sets of 20 or 30 (#5), for over 100 a day. My quads ache. My pecs ache. My triceps ache. This is proof I'm alive. My plan is to hit the dojang at least twice tomorrow, maybe more, and then hit it again Friday after I see my clients. I've got to rebuild some endurance and speed, and retrain my staff forms (#12).
I have gotten yet another assignment from Sienna (#13), which will also be the last book to complete #62. I'm reading Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance again (#28), and I'm also studying for my Amateur Radio exam (#109) this Saturday. I have also recently written an haiku (#69), although I haven't much creative energy lately.
It will soon be my birthday, and that will mean that I only have a year to go on my 101/1001 list. I've completed 39 goals, and I have 25 in progress. Assuming I complete those goals in progress, and maybe a few more, that will mean that I might complete up to 70 goals. *shrug* It's really not about the number, it's more about the motivation and manifestation. Will I be doing this again? Yep. I'll start rewriting the list when it gets close to my birthday, next year. I like the structure and the accountability.
I've pumped out a lot of applications, and I've gotten a bite on a job offer already. If I get a job, and if I'm very careful, and very frugal, I might be able to survive financially for awhile. A lot depends on the shape of my property that my uncommunicative renter has left, and if it can be rented again quickly. I have a recon team going in today if the property management folks haven't gotten their key from my former tenant. I'm breathing, and hoping for the best. It could be a lot worse.
Today: following up on job applications, studying radio propagation, FCC rules, and radio operations, banging out pushups when I get sleepy, and hopefully going to bed somewhat early. *smile* A nap is not out of the question.
