Yesterday I went for a 10-cache geohike (#43) in Dick Nichols Park in South Austin. It was a great hike - even though only one of the caches was actually near a trail. The park has been carved up by several cachers who, knowing that no cache can be within a tenth of a mile from another cache, placed caches by allowable coordinates rather than access to maximize the caches in the park. This meant that there was a lot of bushwacking and wading through briers, cactus, cedar, and chest high grass and hoping that the snakes ran away. I took my full geobag, with a trauma kit and a snakebite kit, and I was glad I did, although I didn't use them. Geocaching in Texas is not for sissies. *grin* It's said that everything in nature in Texas is either poisonous, stings, bites, or is sharp.

I'm spending today at a geoevent, going to a party tonight, finishing reading Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance (#28), throwing things away, and stacking stuff in my room that will go back on 'Ol Number 3 after internal repairs and reorganization is complete. The gear is mostly adjusted, and seems to work fairly well. Energy levels are increasing as I transmute chakras, and I am again becoming more ascetic.
