grim23So, today, my roommates were acting slightly strange. They took my coffee cup and washed it, and asked if I'd like another cup of coffee. I said yes, and reached for another cup. I noticed that there was a new red mug very much like a friend of mine has, but it wasn't mine, so I reached behind it for another cup. They wouldn't pour the coffee in the cup I selected, and put it back, grinning at me, until I selected the red mug, a tall, heavy, red mug with the kanji for courage on it. Then the admitted they had conspired with a certain Warrior who had sent a care package with two loaves of pumpkin bread, coffee, the mug, artichokes, an unactivated Travel Bug, lip balm, and a Wicked Grounds pin.
Then, the mail arrived, and a certain someone from Washington sent me a smiley-face card (perfect for a geocacher) with some very needed gift cards. Those cards will be exactly what I need to survive until my job starts next week. Finances are more than tight, and this is exactly what I needed.
Oh, had I mentioned I got a new job? I have a week to wait while they perform the necessary paperwork for my background check - and that will be exactly the week that Ranger Hazelnut is visiting from Portland. I'm pretty sure she's bringing VooDoo doughnuts.
I am so very grateful to the Universe. Sometimes, when you least expect it, the Universe feeds you. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
