Goals/Life Update - Day 233/1001
May. 25th, 2012 08:38 pmThere is something to be learned from a rainstorm. When meeting with a sudden shower, you try not to get wet and run quickly along the road. But doing such things as passing under the eaves of houses, you still get wet. When you are resolved from the beginning, you will not be perplexed, though you still get the same soaking. - Yamamoto Tsunetomo
Goals Completed: 9
Goals in Progress: 26
Body: I only trained two days this week (#1, #2, #11), both a double-class in the dojang in Seguin, but that was enough to again get my classes to current. Maintaining sit-ups and push-ups (#5, #6).
Mind: I've finished Hagakure: The Book of the Samurai, by Yamamoto Tsunetomo (#28), the first book read on my Nook. I've started Tales of Power, by Carlos Castaneda (#28). I've also continued my mindful eating practice (#27) this week.
Work: I'm scheduled to attend a training (#45) called Therapies Applied in the Homeless Community next Saturday (June 2), for 6 CEUs. I'm also looking at a traumatic grief training July 23.
Life: I'll be going to Flipside (#62) tomorrow morning early (why this update is earlier than usual); I'll be back on Tuesday. I'm scheduled to volunteer (#77) for two shifts as a medical team supervisor, two shifts as a Ranger, and a 24-hour on-call shift for Sanctuary, as a mental health advisor. I have found one yet one more FTF this week, and sponsored a geoevent - but again, no new Difficulty/Terrain combinations (#96).
