Feb. 21st, 2008 07:31 pmWell. I’ve had a productive week, especially the last few days. I’ve acquired a high, solid bed, and built both that and the bed of the person from whom I acquired it. I’ve taken a load of stuff to the dump and been to Goodwill (also for a pair of jeans), and gotten my pickup truck actually in a garage. I traded armor with the Ronin for my fifth sword. I’ve gotten in two good workouts, groceries and clinical supervision. I’ve bought truck parts, and my truck got a much needed tune-up today. I’ve sent off my bound copies of my dissertation, and they should be mailing me my held diploma.
I’ve had a lengthy talk with a student, watched the full lunar eclipse with a glass of wine and a bear claw, and I’ve danced a masochistic tango with a fire dancer. I’ve attended council and talked and learned about community building, called Mom on Valentine’s Day, and called Dad on his Birthday. I’ve partied at just-met friend’s house, and left for a burger with Tiny and Tam. Tam and I have done a lot of talking and some practicing about the form and structure of our relationship, and we seem to be working together and meeting more needs than before - although there is a lot of work to be done.
Phaedrus is stable, and happy. Paula and I are alternating insulin injections, and costs. She and the BF are good workout partners. My practice continues to grow slowly. Several of my former clients have requested to return to me, and I’m in the process of evaluating three testing clients. No dojo as of yet, but it will come when I’m ready. Sometimes all that can be done is to be patient and train, and await what the Universe has in store for you.
I’m still working on being congruent in thought, word, and action, and staying present with the here and now, and focusing on what is and what will be. I’m cleaning, organizing, and dumping empty boxes, both out of my life and out of my heart. I’ve got a temple to build.
