Oct. 2nd, 2009 10:34 pmThis week has been a challenge in ways few weeks have. I'm under a great deal of scrutiny at work, and professional ugliness is continuing. I continue to show grace and decorum, and I'll be damned if I'm going to let them see more than that. I breathe, and I continue to help others as I can, because that's what they need, and I'll not be distracted by fear.
I've been living at Miss Rebecca's House of Aprons, while she's been supporting her grieving family, and she'll be back tomorrow. I'll get a chance to spend more than a few minutes in 'Ol Number 3, and I'm looking forward to spending some time in my own space. I've not managed to work on any of the projects that bring me peace, or allow my bus to roll for any distance, but that will come.
I have found a new office, that's bigger, quieter, cheaper, and more accessible - and they don't mind a converted school bus in the parking lot. I've resolved the bureaucracy of my professional liability insurance. I'm back in the dojo (#35), and watching some movies (#99), but not much else. I'll be moving some energy at a chakra-based party tomorrow night (#13), but I see most of my time focused on work and moving offices. I hope for some hiking (#43) and maybe a soak in a hot springs (#76) this Fall.
It will soon be my Birthday. *smile* I've already gotten cards, and rather decadent chocolate. What else do I want? I want everyone who reads this to help me work on my 101/1001 list, and to have a great time doing it. Yes, even you, Ian. *grin*
Oh - and the hair? Shoulder length seems to be the winner, although I'm still fancying the topknot idea. Once I get tired of my yearly tradition of a beard, a well-trimmed goatee will keep my face warm. Just so you know.
