Asceticism?
Oct. 5th, 2009 12:26 pmThis weekend there was lengthy ritual (#13), creating and supporting Sternum Manipura (Nabhi). This third chakra can help in making better decisions in one's life on many different levels, and I'm even more aware that I've been struggling. OK, then. Several people have told me that I take care of everyone else but myself, that I usually look tired, and that my energy is low. I drink too much coffee. I'm behind in my obligations to myself, to my training, and to my profession.
To Know is to Act. New action plan: progressively more training until my body feels more efficient (#35, #1, #5, #6), more sleep (#97), continued mindful choices about what goes in my body (#26), and reducing my client load and studying for my EPPP (#14). I slept for more than eight hours last night, after taking care of several small projects on the bus (#17) that had been delayed for more than a week. I watched a movie (#99) and consulted with the BF, and I'll be spending more time with her. It's time for a comprehensive physical exam (#49), as well.
I'm looking forward to seeing a friend visiting for Burn Out, the Burning Man Decompression, in two weeks. This next weekend, I'll likely go hiking/camping for at least part of the weekend (#43), or I might visit Rain in Canada (#23). It'll depend on my energy level and my mood as the weekend gets closer.
