Goals Update
Oct. 11th, 2009 11:02 pmI had quite a busy and yet relaxed weekend. On Friday night, the ladies from my yoga class invited me to see Lisa & Her Kin, a local country/western swing/rockabilly band (#105). I really enjoyed listening to music I usually don't listen to, and it was a nice reward for meeting my training goals in the dojo (#35).
Saturday morning, I was up early and hiked Powell Butte (#43) with some friends, going geocaching (#106). We found three caches, an Earthcache, a benchmark, and a travel bug, and had a marvelous afternoon hiking in the sun and the wind. Afterwards, we ate Lebanese (#66). Then I rolled for Salem, having a very enlightening conversation about relationship drama on the way home. I respect the courage of the individual who gave me the clue-by-four. That will be followed up this week in private after some investigation.
Sunday I spent hiking (#43) to and from Bagby Hot Springs (#76) with other friends. The hike was fairly short, and we only spent time in one hot spring tub, so this is an experience I'd like to repeat with more time and more hiking.
I've been eating more mindfully and overall less (#26) and averaging 7-8 hours of sleep a night this week (#97). Projects on 'Ol Number 3 (#17) are in progress, including washing the outside, and installing a small refrigeration system. Next step: solar power for her internals, researching Allison transmissions and who will service them locally, the yearly tuneup service (#103), and new traction tires, preferably by snowfall.
Oh, and I've likely found a new office. There's been progress on the professional ugliness issue, as well. Overall, a reminder that "it's hard work to be so lucky."
