Road trip to Texas, Day 4
Jan. 13th, 2010 11:45 pmAfter visiting the State capitol of CA yesterday, and after visiting my nephew's school today, and sporadic geocaching, I'm ready to roll South. Next stop: Santa Clara, CA. I'll be in the bay area for the next few days. I'll be hanging with bikers, burners, maybe a Psychologist in a related field that I'd like to ask a lot of professional practice questions, and perhaps playing a little. I'm planning on my final museum (#94) to complete a goal on my 101/1001 list, and perhaps a bit of bus maintenance.
Today my nephew (who has begun to train in Karatedo) and I trained together. We practiced seiza, blocking, soft versus hard approaches, and muscle and balance strengthening. Very well done for a 6-year-old. He's quite good at wall-ball, and running, and doing well at school. I have, for perhaps the first time, a good idea of the life of my brother's family, and I am grateful for that and for their hospitality.
