I'm having difficulty sleeping, so I went to my office to journal. This weekend I completed another belt promotion test in the dojang (#35), ate brisket, and had a very good late-night chanoyu, with a Geisha who is training in the Flower and Willow World. I was hurt during testing, and nurtured, and served well. It was a short and intense visit, and I am both grateful and honored. Today I spent with my mother, for Mother's Day, and it was a good day. Now to return to a more ordered life. *smile* Back to asceticism.

'Ol Number 3 has at least temporary power, but no wifi, so email/messages returned will be slow. I am now turning more of my training efforts to running a 5K (#1) in two weeks, on my mother's birthday. I'll still continue to train in the dojang but I'll put more effort into my running regimen. I've restarted my practice of eating mindfully (#26). I continue my practice of daily push-ups (#5) and sit-ups (#6).

#1: 5K in 33:52. I'm training for the course I'll be running in two weeks, and this was my time as of today. A 30-minute 5K is doable, if I train hard.

#5: 35 push-ups with good form, until I cannot maintain good form. I may go to doing this twice a day, plus the push-ups in the dojang, and see if it makes a difference.

#6: 135 sit-ups, although my form was starting to suck at the end. I'm working this less hard, but I'll get there.

#69: I wrote my 20th haiku this afternoon.

#106: I just found my 245th Geocache.
