I'll be attempting to earn my next rank this next weekend in the dojang; despite being gone for almost three weeks at the Burn, I still have enough classes and practice to be a strong candidate. My strengths, this time, are my usual weaknesses, and my weakest areas are my strengths. The staff forms will have to wait. After that, I'm running the LiveStrong 5K with a new runner on the 23rd, as good training for a 10K (#2) in a few weeks. There's talk of a dojang running team, and running at least half a marathon (#3) in a month or two, and I need to be ready. Yes, there are pushups (#5) and situps (#6).
I continue to have problems with sleep hygiene (#97), and caffeine seems to have a greater effect than usual on my sleep habits. I am working to continue to eat more mindfully and eat more healthy foods, but I am still planning on enjoying my 'death by chocolate' cake later this week. I'm working my latest homework (#62), processing some new thoughts (#13), and I am acquiring my own gear to help with that.
I have a sense of sadness about my property in Oregon; my uncommunicative tenant seems to be spiraling down and continuing to make a less effective set of choices. I did my best to help her out, and I have been taken advantage of. I am not used to being taken advantage of, and I am doing my best to not take this personally. I know that the situation will resolve. I also know that my family situation will resolve. I simply have to be ready and patient, and avoid anger and fear. I have a couple of job leads that are also showing promise, and I am confident that I will remain financially above water.
I have been going through my possessions one more time and purging, yet again. I am bringing almost everything out of 'Ol Number 3 now that the weather is a bit cooler, and sorting/purging as I go. I will be reorganizing the space and the storage, adding an external power connection, and making room for both air conditioning and possibly a tiny bathroom, and adding cabinets. I'll also be adding an amateur radio antenna and a power connection sometime in the near future. Additionally, I have a mechanic who will be helping me with the yearly service of 'Ol Number 3 (#103) as soon as I can afford it. It's keeping me busy while I wait to hear back from potential employers.
Time to get going.
