As Samhain is upon us, it's time for introspection and reflection, and going within ourselves. This is usually the time of year that The King of May must die and be reborn, and I find myself doing this, but to a lesser degree. This is the time to deal with old business, and to process that which there has been no time before to do so. Last night, I went to a bonfire with some of the dojang to celebrate and acknowledge this. Old business, for me, includes what was the Fortress of Solitude, and arranging for the cleaning, replacement, painting, and trash removal of the property - as well as the feelings of anger, dismay, and violation. Thanks to Ms. Rebecca, I've almost got the physical property ready to be rented again.

Training continues. I ran the Wurst 5-Miler yesterday with a time of 49 minutes flat. This puts me in range of a 10k in less than 60 minutes (#2) if I continue to train at this pace and distance. If I continue past that, I'm in range to complete a half marathon (#3) by year's end. I have started ramping up for the challenge of Youdanja (#12), as well. Sleep (#97) evades me, maybe because I seem to need less of it, or maybe it's the season changing. I seem to be able to transmit desire to training (#13), and my body is showing the effects. I have lost yet more weight, and I'm faster and stronger, and I seem to be healing faster. I'm running on 5-6 hours of sleep average, with meditation seeming to take the place of that last hour of sleep.

After the race, we ended up near a geocache that hadn't yet been hunted for 6 weeks (because it was on an island in the middle of the Guadalupe River), so we waded out into the thigh-deep water and found it (my third FTF!). I've also placed a new cache, and placed in it a Travel Bug headed back to the person who gifted it to me. The cache has been found and the TB has started its journey. This has been a weekend of service. I've been helping the Lions Club park cars at Wurstfest as a fundraiser, and this morning I participated in my first tactical network as an amateur radio operator for the Tour de Gruene, and this evening I'll park more cars. *smile* I seem to be accumulating run and event shirts.

I have renewed my Oregon Licensed Professional Counselor credential, just in case. Work has not yet started, although the final approval from Texas CPS is in process. I expect that next week I will be seeing my first clients. I'm more than a bit worried about money, but I'm sure that what I need will come when I need it. I have signed up to continue my Continuing Education hours (#41), and I continue to prepare for the EPPP (#14), although I've not yet begun the process.

I will soon have a extended-stay houseguest - Ranger Hazelnut is coming back in a few months to stay for awhile, looking for work and being closer to her family here. I am glad she's coming, and I'm looking forward to spending more time with her. I have converted her to the ways of geocaching, and I will likely be less alone. I had a recent visit from Brook and her family as they come through on a roadtrip through Texas, and it was a very enjoyable evening introducing them to Texas BBQ and giving them some rest. I do miss Oregon/PNW, but my time here in Texas is necessary, and I'm not leaving for a while yet. I'm glad that sometimes Oregon can come to me. *smile*
