Life/Goals Update - 9 Goal Challenge
Feb. 20th, 2011 12:39 amUm. Well. It's almost the 23rd, and an update of my nine goals is in order. I'm far behind.
They were:
2. run a 10K in 60 minutes
5. 200 non-stop pushups
6. 200 non-stop crunches
12. better my skills with staff/bo
28. re-read my martial arts library [7/23]
69. write more haiku [51/100]
49. get a complete physical examination
70. write up will, just in case
79. help people randomly and anonymously at least 23 times [11/23]
The only goals that I've really made progress with are #2, #5, and #12. There is an inner-school tournament next Saturday, and I've been intensively training (at least two hours a day) for that, including my only authorized staff form (#12). I have made an effort to work my push-ups (#5), and I have been running a few times (#2). However, I have put a lot of energy into my training, and work - and a lot of my remaining energy into 'Ol Number 3. She was accepted as a medical support vehicle for Flipside, and she has been getting a whole retrofit.
Ol' Number 3 has new infrastructure throughout, all secured to the floor. She has a framed in toilet area, with fixtures. She has a more usable bedroom, with storage. She's got rebuilt utility shelves, a stronger closet area, bench seating and storage with a table. I've purged three bags of paper and extra unneeded gear, and reorganized and secured the gear I'm going to keep. She's gotten a complete service (#103), including a better battery, and there's a list of engine maintenance projects organized and prioritized. She has pads on the seating areas, better support for her curtains, a clear tabletop that can hold documents, art, and she'll soon have a matching curtain for the toilet area.
Tomorrow I will train on my own, and run at least four miles. After a trip to the auto parts store, I'd better get cracking on my challenge. *smile*
