Life/Goals Update
Jun. 26th, 2011 06:25 pmThis week, I am supporting others, who are rededicating themselves to training their bodies. This week, one of them worked on this, and I'm adding my progress in conjunction with these goals:
12:30 am bedtime with computer OFF - I've managed this goal, and I'll likely stick to it. It's helped me get a bit more sleep than usual, and I seem to need it, lately. This weekend was the national Amateur Radio Field Day, a contest where radio operators all over the U.S. and Canada practice making as many contacts as possible.
Training at least three times - I somehow managed to train nine times this week; a triple class on Tuesday in San Marcos, followed by a stretching/conditioning yoga class, a single class on Wednesday in Seguin, a triple class on Friday (including two weapons classes)in New Braunfels, and a double class on Saturday (mostly weapons), again in New Braunfels. A bit sore today. I've got my next rank proficiency test 7/16, and I'm still way behind the minimum number of classes required to test. I will have enough classes completed by the test date.
Vipassana on Thursday - My equivalent stretching class was Tuesday. :>
More consciousness about eating - I am usually fairly conscious of my eating, although I was especially aware of my eating habits this week. I didn't always eat the most healthily, especially this weekend, but I was aware of what I consumed and how it would affect me.
Start reading something constructive - rereading Stuart Wilde's Affirmations (#28). Almost finished. I did finish 15 CEU's of online classes that I'll use to finish goal #41 once I can afford the fee.
Breathe more, grumble less - A task we could all practice more. *smile* Not the best week financially, but I'm saving gas by again house-sitting in New Braunfels, and it's closer to the dojang(s). Breathing.
Others have also set physical training goals, and I'm supporting them as well. *smile* Look for more updates in a week or so.
