Goals/Life Update - Day 228/1001
May. 20th, 2012 11:42 am“When we surrender, when we do not fight with life when it calls upon us, we are lifted and the strength to do what needs to be done finds us.” ― Oriah Mountain Dreamer, The Invitation
Goals Completed: 9
Goals in Progress: 26
Body: I only trained two days this week (#1, #2, #11), but one day was again a triple class in the dojang in Seguin. Yesterday, I had what turned out to be a private lesson (the only one who showed up), focusing on learning and interpreting Korean commands and honing my form. I'm still one class behind. I've made some progress with pushups (#5) and situps (#6). I note that I have become more slender, and I am making progress towards health.
Mind: I've finished The Four Agreements by Ruiz (#28), and also The Invitation, by Oriah Mountain Dreamer (#32). I'll be starting Hagakure: The Book of the Samurai, by Yamamoto Tsunetomo (#28). I've also continued my mindful eating practice (#27) this week, mostly successfully; it's easy to be distracted and eat without awareness. I've written three more haiku for the ReStore this week (#33).
Work: I have completed controlling my work email (#50). This is now a habit. I'll be working on getting some CEUs (#45) before my LPC license comes due this Fall.
Life: I volunteered yet again at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore this week (#77). I'll be going to Flipside (#62) this next weekend, although I won't be taking 'Ol Number 3 this time. She's still in the midst of a lot of small projects, and it's not worth stopping them and taking her. She's scheduled for a service this month (#74), and, also gotten yet more painting done on her interior, and more storage and organization projects. I have found one more FTF this week, although again no new Difficulty/Terrain combinations (#96).
